Some of the crucial concepts we will cover include: How to set up your palette/ workstation correctly. Discussing different painting surfaces (canvases vs boards vs paper etc.) Basic color theory. Underpainting with a single color. The importance of:
Negative space,
Working directly versus indirectly

In this course we will be using still life objects as a way to help us discover our own pictorial compositions. This course is crucial towards anyone who wishes to paint landscape, the human form or abstract paintings.

Level: Any. Basic knowledge of drawing is helpful, but not required. Class price:
