Amelia Bird
Amelia Bird is a book artist, essayist, and educator living in New Orleans. Amelia studied book arts at the University of Iowa Center for the Book and has taught papermaking and bookbinding at Women's Studio Workshop and the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. Her artist’s books have won several recent accolades, including an exhibition award from Bibliotech, the juried exhibition of the College Book Art Association, and several honors from Artbound, the book arts competition at the University of Florida. Her work will be featured in two upcoming exhibitions at the Abecedarian Gallery in Denver, CO, and can be found in a growing number of libraries and private collections.
