New Orleans has had a long love affair with art and artists, and while there have been academic studies in Fine Art long available in the city, there had been a real lack of instruction in Fine Craft
The New Orleans School of Art & Craft fills that void with classes in Metalsmithing, Jewelry Making, Stained Glass, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Papermaking, Bookbinding, Calligraphy as well as the more traditional media of Drawing, Watercolors, Acrylics, and Oil Painting at all levels.
Classes can range from one day or weekend workshops, as well as 8 week classes, and there are a variety of one-day and weekend workshops on the schedule as well. Many afternoon and evening classes available.
Classes will be held at 3041 N Rampart St., in the historic Bywater district, 1 mile from the French Quarter. Plenty of free parking!
